Verticals & Greenery

Vines, espalier (trees), espalier (shrubs), climbing rose bush and vegetables that attach to GreenWall adds to the visual uniqueness of the system and strengthens the wall. Vines do not always need to be added, but are recommended to be planted at intervals that suits the designer’s intent, screening guidelines of a community, or for pure garden pleasure.

Test Garden – The following is a short list of recommended greenery based on actual test garden results pertaining to coverage of plant, growth habit, and maintenance requirements for  Zones 5-6 only. You may consult with our LA through the Website http://www.landscapearch.com

Clematis and Morning Glory – chosen for their hardiness, array of colors and  trailing quality up to 144+ inches. Flower colors available White, Lavender, Purple, and Blue. Planted in seed and  4” pots. Estimated Price: $14.00 per linear foot installed Milwaukee area.

Climbing Hydrangea and Boston Ivy – chosen for hardiness, form and spectacular white flowers that lingers and its 144+ inches. Planted in Gallon Pots.  Estimated Price: $20.00 per linear foot installed in Milwaukee area.

Honeysuckle Vine and Climbing Roses – chosen for it yellow and orange flower color and its 120+ inches. Size – gallon pot Price:    $55.00 installed in Milwaukee area $75.00 shipped (minimum of 3)

Willow, Forsythia, Vibernum, Apples, Blackberries, Raspberries and Grapes can be trained as espaliers.

Beans, Peas and Eatables – are recommended as a sustainable choice. These eatable vines should be purchased locally by the installer who then must be the maintainer of the vine for vegetables require daily watering and maintenance during harvest. Seed packets are inexpensive but as annual plants require re-planting each Spring from seed.
